Hi Jim,
I now subscribe to Datafeedr based on your recommendation. Once I saw that I new that was the type of affiliate marketing for me. I have enjoyed getting my products together, although I was a bit disappointed with the quality of some of the feeds from certain merchants. Anyway I am promoting fridges and I need help choosing a theme to use with Wordpress. Which one did you use for the lamplighting.info site or can you suggest another one?

Hi Yechezkel!,
Datafeedr is a great product / service and is my favorite by far, but please note that the feeds are supplied directly from the merchants who are selling the products. Some feeds are more detailed than others but you can easily edit them to you liking. You can also visit the manufacturers website of the products you are selling and get addition info to add to your product feeds if you like.
Clickbank.com supplies the worse feeds and I find myself spending time customizing them the most, but it is very easy to do. Judging by what you’re selling you won’t be using Clickbank anyway.
You can easily edit the feeds in your products menu of your store and in the posts menu of Wordpress.
When you update your store products make sure you choose to “MERGE” the feeds so your changes to the feeds that you made are preserved. Also always remember to to click the “backup database” link in your store before updating your feed and products in case you accidentally overwrite your changes you made to the feed. It is always important that you update using the “MERGE” selection so you preserve your changes.
Datafeedr is a great product and service but they are only as good as the feeds that your merchant affiliates provide to them. Remember one thing too, every single person get the same feed so changing your feed in your store products will make your content more unique and appetizing to your customers and the search engines.
Make sure you spend time in the Datafeedr forums and read the posts for 4 or 5 hours as they are a wealth of info. Also the forums have actually case studies that have proven to make your store successful if you follow the advice they give you. Follow the case studies carefully and you will produce sales.

Hi,
If you want to make a static homepage for your store or set you store to be on the front of your site go to the setting/read and set the store page as the static page.
Or you may want to put a nice front page together with a nice picture and SEO text on your home page. you set the front page under wordpress/settings/read
